The Curious Ear (2009): Dole Volunteers

The Dodder Valley Partnership in Tallaght, Dublin, organises volunteers to work in the local Social Welfare Office.   They 'signpost': they give out leaflets on local services like deals at sports centres for the unemployed.  They also show clients where other local public services can be accessed, like the Revenue Commissioners, Citizens' Advice and County Council.  The volunteer scheme is run by Dodder Valley Partnership and Tallaght Employment Services (First Broadcast 2009)
